Principal's Message

In CUS Junior School we believe that education is not the learning of facts, but the training of the mind to think independently. It is no longer possible to predict what knowledge our students may need as they move through life. To support their ability to develop new knowledge we focus on helping our students to become self-reliant, to become critical and creative thinkers, to become multilingual, and to use initiative. We have a whole-school approach to Teaching and using Learning methodologies such as Active Learning, Assessment for Learning(AFL), Assessment of Learning(AOL), Guided Discovery/Enquiry, Problem Solving, Collaborative Learning and Differentiated Learning. The possibility of being versed in the top three world languages(Mandarin, Spanish and English ) should also be of enormous benefit to the young minds of our students.
